This is the scene at my house...black painted distressed frames stacked in piles, pip berries cluttering every corner, tea-stained muslin samplers lined up and ready to be mounted, pine wreaths awaiting lights, berries and bells, ornaments here, there and everywhere...we are getting ready for our Christmas Open House! Each year, the weekend before Thanksgiving, we open 7 rooms of our 1890 home for Christmas shopping. We've invited over 30 other crafters to bring their specialties and join us. We fill the house with hundreds of handmade crafts and gifts and then invite the community to browse our home and do their Christmas shopping! It's a really fun weekend. So... this is "craft like crazy" time for us! My daughters usually get in on the action making baskets or ornaments. Of course, there's always a little extra cleaning that needs to done too. :-)
Let me know if you're going to be in northern Indiana Nov 20-22. I'd love to get you directions to our Open House!
